Ether 12:27

27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

I don't think that this is the type of strong that Ether was talking about. . . But I'd like to think that I could be pictured that strong spiritually. I don't know about you but I like being strong-physically, mentally, emotionally AND spiritually. Sometimes I feel like I am that strong. . . but I'm human and I have my ups and downs. I wish that I could simply remember this ALWAYS. . .If I approach Him with a humble heart and with sincere desire- he will make my weaknesses become my strengths. WOW!

PS-That picture is my cousin...he is strong physically.

Ether 9

Ether 9:20 And thus the Lord did pour out his blessings upon this land, which was choice above all other lands; and he commanded that whoso should possess the land should possess it unto the Lord, or they should be destroyed when they were ripened in iniquity; for upon such, saith the Lord: I will pour out the fulness of my wrath.

YIKES!!! I don't wanna see that. The Lord blesses me SO much and am I just sitting back and taking? Can certainly work on that.

Ether 3-6

Pretty cool that the brother of Jared had that much faith to ask the Lord to touch the stones with his finger and make them shine. And how about the boats he was told to build? And did you see how long they were on the boats for? 344 days. . . THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR DAYS!!! Oh my! And never once complain? I don't know about you but being confined to one place with the same people for more than 34 hours would be enough to drive me nuts! I've been on some long road trips- but nothing compares to this. And I sometimes I think the Lord asks a lot from me?

How Could I Miss That?

Ever feel like you're just going through the motions in your scripture study? Is you nightly ritual like mine? Brush my teeth? Check. Wash my face? Check. Read my scriptures? Check. Say my bedtime prayers? Check. . . and then lights out. Question is. . . did I remember what I just read? Ummmmm. . . not really. So I had decided that I was going to make the most of my scripture study and the next thing I know I was asked to participate in this scripture blog! I don't know what Ryan. . . errr. . . Bro. Hale (does he go by Bro. Hale?) was thinking when he asked ME to do this. . . but I'm WAY excited. I can't promise you much- but the thought of me REALLY searching each chapter for that one gem is exciting. I want to be saying "How could I miss that?" each night. Hope you do to!
